2011 Central Virginia CFC Application Period

The application period of the 2011 CFC Campaign for the Central Virginia Area is March 1st-31st. This is the time that health and human welfare organizations to apply for inclusion in the 2011 campaign.  Applications for independent and federations are attached.  All applications must be submitted to the PFCO by 5:00pm EST March 31st, 2011 – there are no extensions granted to this period.

Non-profit agencies can contact the CVACFC office at 804.771.5847 in 2012 to participate.

The CFC code number expansion continues.

In 2007, five digit code numbers were issued for all charitable organizations participating in the CFC. This change continues in 2010. Except for new organizations, most charities will retain the numbers previously issued.  Only in rare cases, will codes change from year to year. 


2010 Principle Combined Fund Organization (PFCO)

The Central Virginia Area Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC) reviewed applications for a Principle Combined Fund Organization (PCFO) to serve as the fiscal agent and campaign coordinator of the Combined Federal Campaign.  The Combined Federal Campaign provides an opportunity for all federal civilian, military and Post Office personnel in the Greater Richmond and Tri-Cities areas to support charitable organizations that participate in the annual campaign.  United Ways across the country have maintained a strong partnership with the federal government, and the United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg is proud to have been selected to serve as the PFCO through 2012.


Volunteers Needed

  

The CVACFC is always looking for committed volunteers to assist with various campaign activities.  Two key areas where volunteer assistance in needed, included:

  • Eligibility Process - in which federal volunteers can assist by reviewing non-profit agency applications for compliance with federal guidelines.
  • Campaign Process - in which federal volunteers can assist with the planning & implementation of the CFC campaign effort at their agency or installation.
